Lymphatic Massage Housecalls
by Katherine Horning LMT, CMLDT
Therapeutic services include lymphatic massage, scar tissue massage, and more.
I specialize in lymphatic mapping, a technique to map out how your body is uniquely processing toxins and lymph. This work is especially pertinent for those who've undergone lymphadenectomy or cancer staging and treatment. Lymphatic mapping can also help to relieve joint pain and swelling. It improves immunity, acts as a full body detox, and improves tissue health. It can also serve as a gentle and relaxing massage for those with sensitive skin or bones (for whom deeper massage is contraindicated).

What is Lymphatic Massage?
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique designed to support your lymphatic system. MLD enhances lymph formation and promotes drainage within the superficial and deep systems of the lymphatic vascular network. Maintaining a healthy lymphatic system is essential to prevent inflammation and swelling, as well as defending against disease and infection. MLD supports the body's natural mechanism to detoxify. It can provide symptomatic relief for the many diseases and conditions caused or worsened by inflammation (such as arthritis, headaches, and post surgical recovery). It is also a very gentle and relaxing technique, enjoyed by many who are sensitive and looking for a more gentle technique.
